1. Introduction
This .BD Domain Name Registration Agreement sets the terms for registering and using .BD domains through BTCL. By registering, you agree to these Terms, the fee schedule, dispute policy, and all BTCL rules.
2. About BTCL
BTCL is an accredited registrar with IANA for .BD domains. BTCL may accept or reject any registration request.
3. Domain Selection
- You are responsible for ensuring your chosen domain does not violate the rights of others.
- BTCL may cancel or transfer a domain if ordered by a court.
- You agree to indemnify BTCL if legal disputes arise.
4. Registration Information
- You must provide accurate and updated contact details.
- Failing to provide or update accurate data may result in cancellation.
- If registering on behalf of a third party, you must have their consent.
5. Fees and Payments
- All fees must be paid in advance.
- Fees are non-refundable.
- Renewal fees must be paid on time or the domain may be suspended or canceled.
6. Ownership and Transfer
- Transfer of ownership requires written consent, payment of transfer fees, and agreement to these Terms by the new owner.
- Unauthorized transfers are invalid.
7. Acceptable Use
Domains must not be used for:
- Sending spam or malicious emails.
- Fraud, hacking, virus creation, or other illegal activities.
- Publishing obscene, abusive, or offensive content.
- Intellectual property infringement.
- Activities against the laws of Bangladesh.
8. Disputes
You agree to follow the BTCL Dispute Policy for any conflicts regarding domain ownership or usage.
9. Limitation of Liability
BTCL is not liable for:
- Suspension, cancellation, or loss of a domain.
- Business loss or data issues.
- Service interruptions.
- Errors or delays in processing.
BTCL’s liability is limited to the amount you paid for registration and renewals.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify BTCL from any claims related to your domain name registration or usage.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh.
12. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Dispute Policy, form the complete agreement between you and BTCL.
